"smug as shhhh that I've completed my movement by 7.20am and ready to take the day by the horns!" This is the kind of message I get from my Reset clients. Messages like these make my day!

The awesome thing about the Morning Reset Sessions, is that you are done an dusted by 7:20am, we start at 6:30am.

Yes, I know if you've not got an early morning routine, this can be really daunting.

Having an early morning fitness routine offers numerous benefits for both your physical health and overall well-being. Here’s why it can be particularly advantageous:

1. Boosts Metabolism

Jumpstart your metabolism: Exercising in the morning kickstarts your metabolism and helps you burn more calories throughout the day. This phenomenon, known as the "afterburn effect" or excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), can keep your metabolism elevated for hours after your workout.

2. Enhances Consistency

Fewer distractions: Morning workouts can become a habit more easily because there are fewer distractions or conflicts compared to later in the day when work, social commitments, or fatigue might interfere.  The best thing about the Morning Reset is; you don't even need to leave your home! We are live on Zoom Monday to Thursday and all is recorded in case you miss it.

Routine setting: Starting your day with a workout sets a positive tone for the day and reinforces a routine that can help maintain consistency.

3. Improves Mental Health

Boosts mood: Lots of my clients report to me that their mental health improves.

Morning exercise releases endorphins, the "feel-good" hormones, which can elevate your mood and reduce stress and anxiety throughout the day.

Enhances focus: Physical activity in the morning can improve mental clarity and focus, helping you to be more productive and alert at work or in your daily tasks.

4. Better Sleep Quality

Regulates circadian rhythm: Morning exercise can help regulate your body's internal clock, or circadian rhythm, leading to better sleep at night. This helps you fall asleep faster and improves the quality of your sleep.

Less impact on sleep: Working out too close to bedtime can sometimes disrupt sleep patterns, so getting your workout done early in the day avoids this issue.

5. Promotes Discipline and Willpower

Strengthens discipline: Committing to a morning fitness routine requires discipline, and consistently following through can strengthen your willpower and self-discipline, which can spill over into other areas of your life.

No excuses: Exercising first thing in the morning reduces the chance of skipping a workout due to unexpected events later in the day. If you're a procrastinator like me, I like to get it done before my brain starts chattering.

6. Improves Physical Performance

Empty stomach benefits: Exercising in a fasted state (before breakfast) may enhance fat burning and improve insulin sensitivity, though this might depend on the individual and the type of workout.

7. Social and Environmental Benefits

Peaceful environment: Morning exercise allows you to enjoy the peacefulness of the early hours, which can be a calming way to start the day.

Starting your day with a workout can have a profound impact on your health, mood, and productivity, making it a powerful habit to develop. Knowing that you are part of an awesome group of people who are up early with you gives a sense of belonging too.
